What is United Blood Services?

United Blood Services, a non-profit community blood center, provides blood and blood components for patients in area medical facilities. Community-minded volunteer blood donors truly make the difference for these patients.

There are 19 United Blood Services centers, which provide blood for patients in more than 900 hospitals throughout the U.S.

Because United Blood Services has a nationwide network, we provide some very specialized services. We maintain a list of donors, including those with rare blood types, who may be called in times of special need.

We service 44 hospitals in the state of New Mexico, and we are the only provider of blood for all these hospitals. To maintain a good supply of blodd, we must recruit and collect around 200 pints of blood per day.
