Summer Computer Camp |
"Wacky
for the Web"
La Plaza will hold a summer computer
camp for kids age 12-14 the week of August 10th at the La Plaza
Training Learning Center located at 224 Cruz Alta Rd in Taos, New Mexico.
The camp will run Monday though Friday from 8:30 am to 12:30 pm. The cost
of the Camp is $100.00 per person. There is a limit of eight(8) campers
and enrollment will be based on a first come, first pay basis.
Camp participants will learn all about
La Plaza and the Internet. Activities will include:
Learning
all about the Internet
Surfing
the World Wide Web
Email
- communicating with friends and family throughout the world.
Virtual
Tours - VRML
Web
Page Design
Creating
your own CD-ROM
Camp participants will learn how to use the
web as a tool for school, homework, research, hobbies, sports, games and
more. La Plaza is very concerned with Internet safety so safety rules will
be stressed. Campers will be provided with a midmorning snack.
