Patrociño Barela
Triptych - F |
Height 41.0 cm |
This is an important work originally titled El Santo Job. It was later re-interpreted by the artist as A Man Who Stands by His Own, A Man Who Stands by His Own. He has his fist raised up in the air in a posture of defiance. It's also a declaration to god because of the swirl his fist makes. This shows the connection of Barela's symbology of man to god. |
