This piece is probably the earliest one in the group. It was done between 1933-1935. It is one of the very few pieces that he painted. It is a vagabond. He was some thing of that himself for many years when he was an itinerant worker. He was always either coming or going so this figure is either waving hello or good-bye, something he does a lot.
