An important traveling exhibition of wood sculpture by the New Mexico artist Patrociño Barela (1900-1964) has been organized by the Harwood Museum of the University of New Mexico. It will open at the MUSEUM OF FINE ARTS in Santa Fe on September 27, 1996 and continue there through December 20 marking the 60th anniversary of the first public showing of Barela's work at the museum.
