Community Outreach

• Initial one-on-one meetings with non-profits and community organizations
• Follow-on group meetings to foster partnering between community organizations
• Outreach meetings informing organizations about the Internet and what La Plaza can provide
  (216 non-profits and community organizations invited to participate). La Plaza provides non-profits with:
  • - Education on Nonprofits and the Internet
  • - Analysis of technology needs
  • - Website hosting - unlimited space
  • - Web page development training
  • - Public Service announcements along with the local radio station
• Provides free community training
• Assists with development of local content for the Virtual Library
• Makes Telecommunity Learning Center available for community organizations to conduct training classes of all kinds
