Monitoring Your Blood Glucose
Monitoring your blood glucose helps you stay healthy.
It is important for the health of your eyes, kidneys, heart and feet.
- Have your doctor, nurse, dietitian, or pharmacist show you
how to use a blood glucose monitor.
- Monitor your blood glucose two to four times a day or as recommended by your doctor.
- Record your blood glucose numbers in a diary or log book. Show it to your doctor at every visit.
- If you have trouble keeping your blood glucose normal, talk to your doctor or other health care professional.
