This is good diabetes self-care:

• Eat regular meals at about the same time each day. Eat foods low in fat and high in fiber.

• Move your body every day. Exercise regularly and do activities that your enjoy.

• Monitor your blood glucose levels as recommended by your doctor.

• Keep your feet clean. Wear comfortable shoes and socks. Check your feet every day for cuts and sores. If you see a problem, call your doctor right away!

• See your doctor or other health care provider at least twice a year. If you take insulin, see your doctor four times a year.
