Configuring Open Transport (TCP/IP) and MacTCP for La Plaza Access

In order to use FreePPP, your Macintosh will need either MacTCP 2.0.6., or Open Transport installed and configured. To check which one you have, go to the Control Panels and look for TCP/IP (Open Transport), or MacTCP. If you are using a system previous to 7.5 you may need to install MacTCP or Open Transport.

Notes:

FreePPP must be installed before you can configure TCP/IP or MacTCP.

Open Transport PPP will not run with MacTCP.

Open Transport and Open Transport PPP are available for download from Apple.

Configuring TCP/IP (Open Transport)

Open TCP/IP from Control Panels:
TCP/IP

Configure as above
(If you are using OT/PPP, where it says "Connect via:" you should choose "PPP" instead of "FreePPP".)

Close the TCP/IP window and save changes

You don't need to restart for TCP/IP changes to take effect

Configuring MacTCP
Open MacTCP from Control Panels:
MacTCP 1

Click the "More" button:
MacTCP 2

Configure your MacTCP the same as above.
Click the "OK" button
You will need to restart your computer for the changes to take effect
