I See, Therefore iMovie . iMovie is one of the best technological inventions to ever come to the Youth Media field. It makes teaching digital editing easy and accessible as it never has been before. Video Machete's Mindy Faber, an accomplished producer in her own right, will lead an iMovie workshop with interested TMC youth. Mindy will pre-load a variety of images, shots, footage and music culled from a diverse range of media sources. In one hour, youth producers can complete an edited music video that pushes the boundaries of experimentation and re-invents editing and montage in ways that adult editors might never conceive.

Instead, the computer itself becomes both the studio the playback device. The delivery medium is floppy disk, CD-ROM, or Internet download. No celluloid required.

As with mainstream animated features, homebrew CGI cinema tends toward the fantastic. At this screening, curator Kyle Silfer will introduce and present a selection of the videogame-mediated shorts of the "machinima" movement and the rave culture/science fiction-influenced CGI imagery of the international demo
