Welcome to the Taos Day School Computer Lab

Through a special grant, the computer lab at Taos Day School has been open through the summer, Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays, from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m.

What have we been doing over the summer? Keep scrolling!

Annabelle Romero helps students and adults who come to the lab to use the wonderful facilities there. The network is on a satellite system, which means the internet connection is fast. The Macintosh computers and PCs are recent hardware models.

Ms. Romero helps each person using the lab get set up. Whether you're a young person who just wants to play a game, or someone interested in working on a resume or other project, she is there to assist.

During the summer, on Mondays and Wednesdays, from 10 a.m. to noon, the Web Club meets, with Melody Romancito. Here, two students help her test her new digital camera. The Web Club helps children and adults to publish on the web.

Besides playing games or working on projects, lab users also get to search the internet for subjects that interest them.

Listening to music downloads is also fun, and practical because of the high-speed connection. One student, from the Boys and Girls Club, which meets at the Community Center, listens to music downloads while waiting for his friends to finish their project.
