Travel and Accomodations

Air travel arrangements can be made through Blue Sky Travel at 1-800-453-4407. Most major airlines fly in to Albuquerque International Airport. Please refer to the "Bringing People Together" Conference.

Ground transportation can be arranged through Taos Central Reservations (TCR) at 1-800-821-2437. Taos is approximately 2.5 hours by car from Albuquerque. Make sure to allow enough ground travel time when making flight arrangements. TCR can assist you with car/van rental. A special rate of $25/day (compact) is available for this conference.

La Plaza is coordinating a travel package which will provide :

		Transportation to/from Taos/Albuquerque International airport
		Town bus pass - unlimited travel for the week. Buses run every 30 minutes from 6:30 a.m. to 6:00p.m. and every hour from 6:00p.m. to 11:00p.m. The bus travels the main Taos strip which includes all the hotels and the convention center, Historic plaza, shops, galleries, and many restaurants.
		Transportation to/from Thursday evening Schmooz Fest

The cost of this package is $45. Payment is required at time of registration.

Sagebrush Inn	$62 - $76, Single or Double	Capture the elusive southwest past at the Sagebrush Inn. great rooms, complementary full breakfast, many rooms with fireplace. Dancing nightly in the cantina.
Indian Hills	$65, Single or Double	Located 3 blocks from Historic Plaza. Comfortable rooms. Free continental breakfast
Historic Taos Inn	$89, Single or Double	Dates back to the 1800's. Decorated southwestern. Doc Martins restaurant and live entertainment. 1 block from the plaza & convention center.
Super 8 Motel	$41.88+tax Single, $46.88+tax Double	This motel must be called directly at 505/758-1088. This motel is on the public transportation route. It is approximately 2 miles from the Taos Civic Plaza and Convention Center.
Taos Motel	$31.00+tax Single, $38.00+tax Double	This motel must be called directly at 505/758-2524. This motel is not on the public transportation route. It is approximately 3.5 miles from the Taos Civic Plaza and Convention Center.
