Bella Sue Martin
Bella was born to Hungarian-Russian parents in White Oak, Pennsylvania. Graduating from California State University with an art degree, she taught weaving at the Texas School for the Blind in Austin prior to moving to Taos nine years ago.

A versatile artist, Bella's works include fused dichroic glass jewelry, handwoven chenille clothing, glass crosses and wearable religious art items.  Bella has a studio in Taos where she creates her work.  She shows her works in galleries throughout the U.S. and displayed her weaving in the Smithsonian Institution in Washington, D.C. in 1992-1993 at the Renwick Museum.

Bella was "really excited" about being selected for Open Studio. She says, " I have not allowed myself to take time off from my work to learn how to use the Internet and have felt ashamed that I have not tried to work with a computer."
