Carlos is a native New Mexican whose family has lived in the Questa area since 1825. Carlos creates traditional santero art that includes retablos, bultos and relief carvings. Teaching himself this traditional Hispanic cultural form, Carlos is now studying under Gustavo Victor Goler, a Santa Fe Spanish Market Award Winner.
Honored and excited to be accepted for the Open Studio training, Carlos wants to prepare a marketing strategy via Open Studio and assist other artists who have similar goals.
