Gabriel Jr.
gabrielGabriel was born in the Vadito area of the Penasco Valley.  A third generation artist, his family tradition includes the creation of Hispanic wood carvings, santos, retablos, furniture, micaceous clay pottery.

Gabriel specializes in the religious art of the region creating santos, retablos and bultos using the same type of natural pigments for painting that his ancestors have used for generations. He plans on studying more about this art form in order to apply it to his artistic endeavors.

Gabriel is excited about being part of Open Studio with his father Gabriel Sr.  Together they want to learn how to use a computer and learn about the World Wide Web.
