Pola Lopez
plopezBorn in Las Vegas, New Mexico, Pola describes herself as a "mestiza", with an ethnic heritage of Spanish, Native American, French and Mexican with roots running deep in Northern New Mexico.  She moved to Taos about 12 years ago and is a self-taught artist.

Pola's work, which is extremely colorful and vivid, are mainly oil paintings on canvas though she does work in other mediums such as acrylics, gouache and printmaking.  She also enjoys making her own frames.

Pola has always wanted to learn to use a computer to aid with the graphic side of her art.  She is excited about Open Studio training that will help her to develop a web site for greater exposure of her work.
