Cathy McAleer, longtime La Plaza user and supporter has taken on Receptionist and Customer Service Duties. She has returned to La Plaza to assist customers with their Internet conundrums and billing questions. She is in the process of perfecting her telephone and in-person greetings. She also looks forward to cheering up the staff whenever possible. Cathy began working for La Plaza in early 1994, when the system administrators invited faculty members at UNM-Taos to beta-test their system. Soon thereafter, she became a volunteer, teaching "Quickstart" classes and working at the Help Desk. Later, she filled in as Help Desk Manager while also teaching Internet and Web Design courses at UNM-Taos.
