Taos Feeds Taos is a non-profit organization, organized in the 1986,
registered with the New Mexico Corporation Commission.
Taos Feeds Taos began eight years ago at Christmas time
when area churches and community groups collaborated to
feed the needy. The combined community effort fed 300
families in its first year. Last year a week's worth of
groceries and a turkey were given to over 900 Taos area
families.

Officers
"Taos Feeds Taos" is composed of (president,treasurer and secretary)
with a Board of Directors and Members. Anyone can become a member if they are willing to give of their time. All Civic Organizations are involved, such as Kiwanians, Lions, Optimists club, Veterans of Foreign Wars and Auxiliary, Lulacs, National Guard, Girls and Boy Scouts, Knights of Columbus, Rotary, Merchants, Churches, Schools, and Bed & Breakfast Inns.
The purpose of "Taos Feeds Taos".
- Collect food.
- Collect monies for food.
- Distribute food baskets at Christmas to needy families, the unemployed, the elderly, whose income is below the Proverty Level.
The baskets contain one weeks supply of food with one turkey and all the trimmings. "Taos Feeds Taos" depends totally on money and food contributions. We accept money all year around so we can have a good start for the following season.
Monetary Donations may be made at First State Bank
or at the local supermarkets when volunteers are collecting.
Donations may also be mailed to Box 7111 NDCBU, Taos, NM,
87571. Make checks payable to "Taos Feeds Taos".
Potential Food Recipients need to contact the Limited
Purpose Agency (LPA) at 758-4227. The Limited Purpose
Agency does all the screening of those wishing to recieve
gifts of food.
