The Old Church
The Church was built in 1815. And it was built by the Taos Pueblo people and the Spaniards. The adobe bricks are made by hand with the brick made of straw and Earth dirt. The Vigas were brought down from the mountains by the pueblo men. The Vigas are hand carved.
The saints were saved from the revolt as well as the Church bell where it is now hanging at the cemetary. The coffin is a symbol because we do not use a coffin.
