David T. Dawson
ddawsonDavid was born and raised in Hawaii where he first learned welding at the age of 15. Leaving Hawaii, he attended art school in Washington, D.C. and was a musician during the 1960’s.  David has been in the Taos area for the past seven years working at construction to survive while focusing on his steel sculpture art.

David’s works reflect his whimsical and humorous personality as he uses cold steel to create three-dimensional sculptures that are patinaed to a warm brown color.

Delighted to be part of Open Studio, David has been wanting to learn about computers for a long time and looks forward to making a web site and “being part of the electronic wave.”
