We have been monitoring KTAO 101.5 FM (thank you for your updates). Here are some of the numbers and organizations currently accepting items for donations to the folks who were effected by the fire.

The Taos National Guard Armory is the main drop off point for donations.
American Red Cross Representatives are here as well.
The Armory located North of Taos at the blinking light.

Other drop off points are listed below.

The American Red Cross - 1(505)758-1405 - is accepting donations, make checks payable to The American Red Cross (specify disaster relief fund) - 4621 NDCBU Taos, 87571-6046

Donations to the Red Cross can also be dropped off at Taos Sewing Machine

We now have a Red Cross Page with a list of families who lost homes in the Lama area.

A Bank Account has been set up for the LAMA Foundation for financial donations for emergency needs and long range rebuilding:

There is a branch in Taos that is set up to receive donations.

Lama has a voice mail number which will be clearing house for any donated items: 751-7866

They can use anything from beds, mattresses, bedding, to office supplies, computers, office equipment etc.

People's Bank is accepting donations for the Fire Victims Fund. They will be providing receipts for tax deductable donations.

People's Bank has reported receiving over $1,700.00 in donations since their announcement of the Fire Victim Fund this morning (May 6). They will begin to dispurse these funds to those who have lost their homes in the Lama area.

Supplies

Non Perishables, Clothes, Bedding, Tools, Camping Equipment

LA PLAZA Telecommunity (505) 758-1836, is now offering their facility as a drop off point for non-perisable food items, and household goods. The staff have volunteered to transport items to the Bean for transportation to the effected areas.

The Bean (near Cids) is collecting food items - gatoraid, lemonaid, sandwich fixing, chips, tortilla chips, fruit, cookies. They have a truck on the way to pick up items to send to Questa. No prepared food can be accepted. Only sealed, packaged items.

The Community for Sexual Violence has opened their feed bin - 758-8082 They also have misc. items such as clothing, bedding, etc.

New Buffalo is accepting camping equipment, clothes, shoes, bedding, etc.

Brodsky Books is accepting food for New Buffalo. They have aprox. 30 people from Lama staying there. Prepared food is accepted.

Taos Sewing Machine is a drop off point. Accepting any goods, non-perishable.

Anyone with large donations of food items and clothing, bedding, etc should take it directly to the Armory.

Packaged food can be dropped off in Questa at the Questa Middle School Cafeteria on Hwy 522 1/2 mile North of Light (505)586-0541

Bear Paw Pizza (in the old Penasco Movie Theater) is a drop off point in Penasco1 (505) 587-0030
